Noras displays a rich bouquet of crushed blackberries, plums, smoke and brown sugar, underpinned by minty herbal notes. The texture is velvety, with a polished feel to its red and black fruits and a delicately bitter hint of coffee and balsamic spices. A hint of tobacco and liquorice lingers on the long, structured final. Noras needs a little time to fully develop in the glass, but it is worth the wait and gives us plenty of pleasure. SUPERIORE.DE

This masterful Vernaccia matures for 4 years in small Caratello barrels, whose natural shrinkage is never topped up so that the yeast flora, which is very characteristic of this Vernaccia, forms on the surface and not only produces the characteristic flavours, but also gives it its name.

Bright ochre yellow with golden reflections. Rich, multi-layered bouquet of apricot and orange zest, rounded off with a delicate almond flavour and warm honey notes. A wonderful texture and freshness on the palate, the primary yellow-fruity flavours are present, complemented by a fine salty vein with a mineral note on the finish. The "I Giganti" line, with its three wines, represents Contini's top collection. In white, rosé and red, they pay homage to the large statues that were discovered in the 1970s in the archaeological site of Mont'e Prama, just 2 km from the Cabras pond. They were farmers working the fields with their ploughs, bringing to light the precious treasures of the past. These sandstone figures were called "giants" because of their considerable size. They represent brave warriors, symbols of strength and courage.

I Giganti Bianco, an exciting cuvée of Vermentino and Vernaccia, is a straw-coloured wine with beautiful golden notes. It is characterised by excellent intensity and finesse, followed by present notes of white spices, some chamomile and Mediterranean scrub. The barrique-aged Is Solinas, which was vinified for the first time as a Riserva from 100% Carignano in the 2014 vintage, is remarkable. Deep red in colour, an independent, delicately spicy bouquet, hints of red fruit and balsamic notes. Spicy and distinctive Tharros Rosso from Nieddera vineyards. Clear ruby red in the glass with a fine lustre. Complex and fine nose with Maraska cherry, liquorice and blackcurrant jelly.
