The second wine from the exciting joint venture between the Santadi winegrowers' cooperative and Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta (Tenuta San Guido/Sassicaia): A seductive cuvée of Carignano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Sweet violets, lavender and cloves with black raspberries in the glass. Silky and supple on the palate, with masses of ripe red and black fruit flowing over a core of vibrant acidity. Montessu maintains a fabulous balance and finishes long and powerful, yet fresh with a hint of macerated plums that won't quit. Very nice. SUPERIORE.DE

This is a soft and savoury effort with a core of dark red fruits and saline mineral tones that slowly saturate. The 2021 finishes impressively long and colourful, leaving grippy tannins tugging at the cheeks as a hint of liquorice fades.
