    Sàgana is an impressively varietal and at the same time very fresh Nero d'Avola, which comes from a single vineyard of the Cusumano winery Tenuta San Giacomo, located on the limestone cliffs of Butera in southern Sicily. Dark in colour in the glass, with an intense aroma of sour cherries, undergrowth, iodine and graphite. Very powerful and full-bodied on the palate, with velvety tannins and a long, slightly nutty finish. A highly respectable Nero d'Avola that needs a year or two in the cellar to show its best side.
