Wines from South Tyrol and Trentino

The name "Mimuèt" (to my taste) comes from Ladin. Convinced that South Tyrol offers the best conditions for the Pinot Noir grape variety, Alois Lageder paid particular attention to it at a very early stage. His goal is to produce wines with precision, lightness and filigree structure. Garnet red with ruby reflexes. Pinot Noir Mimuèt smells of ripe black cherries, flowers and spices. These refined wines are then sold in small quantities as "Private Reserve" to selected retailers and the gastronomy industry, thus demonstrating the impressive maturing potential of the wines matured on fine yeast for 10 months.

Medium pale yellow in colour. Complex nose of pomaceous fruit and lychee, the further 6 years of ageing in the bottle have given the wine a wonderful fullness and depth. Surmont is the successor to Rain Riesling. As in the past, some of the grapes come from the South Tyrolean lowlands, while the other part now comes from the Isarco Valley from high and cool locations on soils of volcanic origin, which give the wine a fresher, almost alpine style. Bright, straw-yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge. Clean, distinct, fragrant varietal aroma with fine fruity notes (peach, pear). Balanced, medium-bodied. Fresh, juicy finish. The racy acidity is harmoniously integrated into the fruit structure. A wonderful Riesling italico in small quantities. SUPERIORE.DE

Sauvignon Blanc Praesulis unfolds in the glass with hints of spicy herbs and lemon peel accompanied by gooseberries, grapefruit, and elderberries. Reassuringly soft and with a pleasant inner sweetness, it blends candied lemon with sour melon and lively acidity to create a powerful but juicy style on the palate. Pushing the limits!

Tannat thrives excellently under warm temperatures and retains a lively acidity. Already planted 30 years ago by Alois Lageder, it is still a puzzle, experiment and challenge at the same time for the winery. In the 2018 vintage, the grapes were harvested extremely early to particularly emphasise the lightness and freshness of the grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE

Winkl is the winery's second cult wine after the iconic South Tyrolean Sauvignon, Quarz. A wonderfully accentuated wine. The very rare Rosenmuskateller originally comes from Sicily and has been native to South Tyrol since the middle of the 19th century. Rosis is a floral and elegant wine, its grapes are hand-picked and air-dried. Bright ruby red in colour. A floral bouquet of roses, nutmeg and small red fruits. The grapes for the rare St. Ursula Pinot Nero come from a small plot of land known in dialect as "Urschele Egg". This is where the house chapel of St Ursula originally stood. This spontaneously fermented and unfiltered Pinot Noir delights with elegant, delicate cherry flavours, subtle hints of raspberry and a lovely lingering freshness and acidity on the remarkable finish. Ferrari on the podium after every Grand Prix is the dream of every Tifoso. This has actually been happening since 2021, but not quite in the way Ferrari fans had imagined. Since 2021, Formula 1 has no longer been spraying champagne, but the finest Trento DOC sparkling wine, and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has signed a corresponding agreement with Gruppo Lunelli. For Ferrari, it is a return to Formula 1, as the family business founded in 1902 supplied the winning sparkling wine for the 1980 Italian GP in Imola.

The grapes for this elegant Metodo Classico come from loose limestone soils with a clay content from the Überetsch and Unterland regions. The three grape varieties are vinified separately, gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 14°-16°C.
