Distinctive aromas of pineapple, elderberry, gooseberry and honey on the nose. Stony limestone gravel soils and cool downslope winds at the foot of the Mendelstock produce this lively and expressive Sauvignon in the Lahn vineyards. Harmonious, velvety Pinot Noir from vineyards at an altitude of around 450 metres. These hills with special conglomerate soils of clay and limestone and the very suitable microclimate form the ideal conditions for a clear Pinot Nero full of character. A more than respectable performance for a so-called basic Lagrein: minty freshness, accentuated by floral notes and a hint of white pepper. The 2022 Lagrein still seems a little hesitant to show its full potential today, but the first sip already reveals a deep, silky texture. Pleasantly elegant and pleasantly unobtrusive Sauvignon Blanc from the Mock vineyard on steep slopes with gravel soils. Light greenish-yellow in colour, with a delicate aroma of elderflower, paprika, grapefruit and a hint of gooseberry. The well-balanced flavour is fruity, soft, with the right amount of strength and aromatic length. For us, this is undisputedly one of the best Sauvignon Bianco wines in this price range. This great Chardonnay comes from the Kleinstein estate in Signat near Bolzano. Bright yellow in colour with green reflections, a wonderfully fruity bouquet with aromas of apple, pineapple and banana. Lagrein Rubeno is impenetrably dark and purple in the glass and exudes an earthy blend of blackcurrants, brown spices and tobacco. The palate is juicy and supple, with purple-coloured red berries and minerals gathering towards the finish. Pinot Gris Stieler is the winery's latest creation and ideally reflects the grape variety, terroir and microclimate. Bright straw yellow in colour. Fallwind Riesling is an extremely elegant wine. Germany's favourite grape has found the ideal terroir in parts of South Tyrol. Riesling places high demands on the location and prefers a cool but very sunny climate. The porphyry soils there give it fruit, minerality and an ideal acid backbone. SUPERIORE.DE

The "Collection" line is made from late-harvested grapes from selected, sun-drenched vineyards and stands for complex, straightforward wines that emphasise the terroir. Full flavour of small red berries on the palate, underpinned by dark chocolate and a spicy finish. A spectacular steep slope rises above the north-western shore of Lake Kaltern, one of the best vineyards in the area. "From the Lageder family’s 8ha Römigberg estate above Lake Caldaro, where pergola-trained Schiava grapes are farmed biodynamically. The fruit is fermented partly in large wooden barrels, partly in stainless steel, and with some extended skin contact. A pale bright garnet colour, the nose is rosy and smoky with notes of pomegranate and cranberry over intense, spicy notes of cinnamon and clove. It has a juicy, ripe and supple palate yet with underlying firmness and good balance with lovely acidity, finishing with notes of plum and woodsmoke. Delicious." Decanter
