The warm sites around Tramin give this pretty Traminer aromatico substance, breadth and a certain sweetness, while the cool and higher sites in the Eisack Valley give it freshness, finesse and a fine aromatic structure. Slender, very typical South Tyrolean Chardonnay. The character of the international grape variety and the typicality of the Alto Adige are immediately recognisable in the glass. Good structure and invigorating freshness. We think this is pretty much the best in this price range. SUPERIORE.DE

Pinot Noir from the best vineyards in and around Eppan. The compact clay soils with limestone deposits on porphyry rock offer ideal conditions for full-bodied grapes. The vines for Mediaevum Vernatsch grow in the southern Eisack Valley at the foot of the Schlern massif at around 400-480 metres above sea level. Brilliant, brightening ruby colour. The "Collection" line is made from late-harvested grapes from selected, sun-drenched vineyards and stands for complex, straightforward wines that emphasise the terroir. The Comrades' vineyards are located in Siebeneich and Bolzano at 300 metres above sea level and offer ideal conditions for this wonderful Merlot to thrive. Dark ruby to garnet red in colour. Exuberant aromas of blackberry and wild berries, complemented by a refined spice component. On the palate, it is elegant, delicately fruity, almost polished. This Merlot is not at all plump like so many representatives of this grape variety - it is medium-bodied, finely accentuated and leads into a respectable finish with fine-pored tannins. SUPERIORE.DE

Lezér means "light" and so it is - in the most delicate sense. Light ruby red in colour, red berries and an interesting hint of violets on the nose.
