Wines from South Tyrol and Trentino

"Zero Infinito" stands for zero chemical intervention and infinity. Years of research and experimentation have led to this extraordinary project, in which the grapes of the fungus-resistant Solaris grape variety are transformed into wine without any additives: no treatment in the vineyard, no use of sulphur dioxide, no commercial yeasts, no clarifying agents, no filtering and no antioxidants! The grapes for this sparkling wine made according to the Méthode Ancestrale (Pet Nat) with yeast lees come from the south-west facing Maso Rella vineyard, which lies at an altitude of 800 to 900 metres.

The vineyards are located around Margreid on a gentle slope between 220 and 350 m above sea level with a south-southeast orientation. The white, deep limestone gravel soil has a high humus content. Radiant dark ruby red. Complex aroma of cherries, blackberries and liquorice. The taste is firm, yet very warm and round, the silky tannins excellently proportioned. Marjun presents itself in a ruby to garnet red colour and develops a harmonious aroma of wild berries, plums and cherries in the glass, underpinned by a spicy herbal note. This fruity and juicy Pinot Noir, which impresses with its delicate structure and soft tannins, is cool and firm on the palate. The profile of the Marjun is rounded off by a refreshing acidity, which is indicative of the high altitudes of its vineyards. South of Margreid lies the "15er" vineyard, which is characterised by deposits from the Fenner stream and the Adige river and has been planted largely with Merlot vines since 1957. Its location enjoys particularly good aeration thanks to the warm wind from Lake Garda, the Ora, which gives the wine a delicate structure and great finesse. Cherry red in colour with a ruby red sheen. Impressive bouquet of concentrated fruit, pepper and vegetal notes. The history of the sophisticated Gewürztraminer goes back to the early Middle Ages. The autochthonous grape variety thrives best on airy slopes between 250 and 450 m on clay and sandy soils with plenty of sunlight. And then the wine can be as convincing as this one: straw yellow with pale green reflections, with a distinctive bouquet of roses, some clove and vanilla and an independent character on the palate. This very typical Sauvignon bianco grows on glacial limestone soils at an altitude of up to 900 metres. Bright lemon yellow colour. Intense, well-articulated nose of gooseberry, kiwi, lemon curd and lilac. Medium pressure on the palate, creamy texture with balanced acid wire, great fruit components with hints of paprika and green papaya. A taut minerality emerges on the finish, ending with flint and dried lemon peel. A typical Sauvignon bianco with everything that delights the heart. Terlaner Cuvée (formerly Terlaner Classico) is the wine that best embodies the identity and personality of this iconic agricultural co-operative in South Tyrol. Since its founding in 1893, it has been closely linked to the history of the winery like no other wine. Since the 2013 vintage, the grapes have been sourced from selected vineyards in the Vorberg, Kreuth and Winkl vineyards. Markus Prackwieser's Sauvignon vines grow on calcareous moraines with solid quartz porphyry at the foot of the Schlern massif, approx. 400-480 metres above sea level. Sparkling, light straw yellow colour. Very intense, appealing nose of tomato leaves, sage, a little thyme and white asparagus. The "Buchholz" valley slopes above Salurn in the South Tyrolean lowlands were already documented in the historical cadastral cartography of 1858. This impressive Chardonnay comes from this terraced area of dolomite sedimentary rock at an altitude of 400 to 800 metres above sea level.

Greenish yellow, with a bouquet of banana and pineapple, sliced apple and wild herbs. Very juicy on the palate, inviting and stimulating to drink with its pretty palette of fruity flavours, fine minerality and a certain herbaceousness. The name "Conus" comes from the Latin term for cone and refers to the Margreider Schuttkegel and its gentle slopes. The dolomitic limestone present there is an important prerequisite for the fruity and round character of this impressive red in Riserva quality. Cherry red with ruby reflexes.
