Cantina Bolzano

The "Collection" line is vinified from harvested grapes from selected and sun-drenched sites and stands for complex, straightforward wines with a strong emphasis on terroir. The vineyards of the comrades are located in Siebeneich and Bozen at 300 metres above sea level and offer ideal conditions for this beautiful Merlot to thrive.

Dark ruby to garnet red. Exuberant aroma of blackberries and wild berries, complemented by a refined spice component. The palate is elegant, finely fruity, almost polished. This Merlot is not at all plump like so many representatives of this grape variety - it is medium-bodied, finely accentuated and leads with fine-pored tannin into a respectable finish. SUPERIORE.DE

The vines for this exceptional selection cuvée grow on the slopes of the St. Magdalener area above Bolzano at an altitude of 200-300 metres. St. Magdalener Moar is characterised by the unique interplay of location, age and cultivation of the vineyards. It captivates with its fruity and floral notes and its full and velvety flavour. The famous Gewürztraminer "Kleinstein" from Cantina Bolzano is a nutty, fragrant wine with complex aromas of ripe fruit, dried flowers and a hint of rosewood. Its flavour is reminiscent of honeydew melon and mountain herbs with a slight hint of citrus. A firm texture, lively acidity, fine minerality and a slightly spicy sweetness combine to create a highly balanced pleasure. SUPERIORE.DE

Bachmann is a marvellous Pinot Nero Riserva in the best South Tyrolean style. Elegant and dense, with the fine flavour of Pinot Noir. Beautiful ripe fruit on the palate, charming and well-integrated tannins, powerful and long on the final. SUPERIORE.DE

The very rare Rosenmuskateller originally comes from Sicily and has been native to South Tyrol since the middle of the 19th century. Rosis is a floral and elegant wine, its grapes are hand-picked and air-dried. Bright ruby red in colour. A floral bouquet of roses, nutmeg and small red fruits. On the palate, it develops a fine floral sweetness paired with a harmonious, fruity acidity. With Rosis, the name simply says it all! SUPERIORE.DE

The porphyry-rich steep slopes on the Ritten above Bolzano offer first-class conditions for producing a Sauvignon Bianco with unique fruit, minerality, elegance and depth. This Riserva, which is partly aged in barriques, shines in the glass with an intense ruby red colour. Pleasantly elegant and pleasantly unobtrusive Sauvignon Blanc from the Mock vineyard on steep slopes with gravel soils. Light greenish-yellow in colour, with a delicate aroma of elderflower, paprika, grapefruit and a hint of gooseberry. The well-balanced flavour is fruity, soft, with the right amount of strength and aromatic length. For us, this is undisputedly one of the best Sauvignon Bianco wines in this price range. Named after the ancient Roman wine festivals, Passito Vinalia is a sweet dessert wine that goes particularly well with South Tyrolean apple strudel. The strictly selected grapes, which are air-dried after the harvest, come from the sun-drenched vineyards on the slopes of Bolzano at 300 to 400 metres above sea level. They are gently pressed around 4 months after the harvest and then fermented in used French barriques.

Golden yellow with amber-coloured nuances, the nose is captivated by the aroma of ripe apricots, pineapple, sugar melons and peaches, as well as candied exotic fruits. The flavour is impressively opulent with a very refreshing and harmonious acidity. A masterpiece! SUPERIORE.DE
