Golden yellow Sauvignon with rich, complex aromas of ripe tropical fruit such as mango, papaya and passion fruit. Full-bodied on the palate, otherwise rather mineral like wet stone and with a juicy acidity. The long finish is also a harmonious exchange of blows between austere minerality and ripe fruit. It's a more floral style, showing more freshness and some green fruits on the nose. Mason di Mason is described by the winery as "a Grand Cru within a Grand Cru". It comes from the highest and oldest parcels of the Mazzon vineyard with thinner moraine soils over hard limestone, resulting in smaller berries. The aromas of red and black cherries are joined by bitter herbs, cocoa and earth, which are reflected in the mouth, where the flavour is intense, structured and woody. It is juicy and combines good concentration with excellent length." Decanter
