Chardonnay Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2022
The vines for this Chardonnay grow on volcanic rock in the Pianezzi, Coveli, Molini and Palai parcels at an altitude of 300-750 metres. Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. Intense fruity nose of apple, banana and pineapple, with a hint of flint and hay. Open and round flavour with well-integrated acidity, characterful final. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Chardonnay is wonderfully fresh with a delicate bouquet of lime-tinged green apples and sweet floral accents. This displays silky textures and ripe orchard fruits, carried by cooling acidity that maintains a fantastic balance. It finishes with a mineral and sour citrus tinge while finishing with medium length. This is like drinking Chardonnay from a mountain spring." Vinous

Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2022
Pale straw yellow with greenish inclusions. Restrained, elegant bouquet of apple, mango and peach. Almost distinguished and aristocratic on the palate with the typical, flavoursome aftertaste of hazelnut and light fruit typical of the Nosiola grape variety. With its piquant acidity, it is ideal with light meat dishes or shellfish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Nosiola is dusty and floral, with a whiff of cedar and dried flowers offset by spiced citrus. This is saline and precise, with soft textures yet an abundance of mineral tension, as tart orchard fruits cascade across the palate. It tapers off with admirable length and wickedly fresh, crunchy and savory, ending with a salty sensation." Vinous

“Zero Infinito” Metodo Ancestrale IGT 2022 (BIO)
"Zero Infinito" stands for zero chemical intervention and infinity. Years of research and experimentation have led to this extraordinary project, in which the grapes of the fungus-resistant Solaris grape variety are transformed into wine without any additives: no treatment in the vineyard, no use of sulphur dioxide, no commercial yeasts, no clarifying agents, no filtering and no antioxidants! The grapes for this sparkling wine made according to the Méthode Ancestrale (Pet Nat) with yeast lees come from the south-west facing Maso Rella vineyard, which lies at an altitude of 800 to 900 metres.
Bright yellow with orange reflections. Aromatic bouquet of elderflower and mountain flowers, plus Golden Delicious, apricot and peach. These flavours can also be found in the well-balanced taste; overall, this extremely independent frizzante presents itself with impressive purity and freshness. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Zero Infinito is spicy and savory with a wild bouquet that blends dried flowers and ginger with tangerine and foreign spices. This is full of zesty tension with a pretty inner sweetness contrasted by a tart lemon rind twang as soothing bubbles cascade. Long and intense yet still clean and crisp, the 2022 leaves the palate perfectly reset for another sip as grapefruit traces slowly fade. The Zero Infinito is a varietal Solaris Pet Nat. Fantastic." Full and expansive on the palate, gliding into a creamy finish with well-dosed freshness. Ideal with Asian cuisine and shellfish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Traminer Monogramma bursts from the glass, mixing rich notes of confectionary spice and custard with mint and Granny Smith apple. “Rodel-Pianezzi” Pinot Nero Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018
The approx. 35-year-old Pinot Nero vines stand near the village of Rodel-Pianezzi at an altitude of approx. 500 m. Ruby-red wine with aubergine reflections. Frank, clean scent of wild strawberry, raspberry and delicious notes of tobacco. On the palate, a very well-balanced extract-tannin ratio, yet complex, soft and with a spicy-salty vein. The well-dosed use of wood and the finely meshed tannin create a good framework for further development at absolute Riserva level. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Pinot Nero Rodel Pianezzi lifts from the glass with an inviting blend of dried black cherries, dusty sage and clove. This is round and soothing on the palate, with sweet spices giving way to ripe strawberry and minty herbal tones that add a lovely lift toward the close. It finishes lightly structured and incredibly long, leaving licorice and cinnamon stick notes to taper off slowly." Vinous

“Fayé" Rosso Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2018
Intense garnet red colour with black-violet hues. Open, very complex aroma of blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry, cherry and plum, accompanied by a hint of pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, it is an elegant, dry wine that leads into the remarkable Riserva-level finish with its extract sweetness, tannins and a fine liquorice note. SUPERIORE.DE
"Firm and quite deep aroma of ripe, predominantly black berries with floral nuances, a little Mediterranean herbs, restrained barrel notes and a hint of pepper and juniper. Taut, tart, juicy dark fruit, slightly smoky notes, relatively present, yet very fine and rather crumbly tannins, persistent on the palate, some nutty and a hint of tobacco wood spice, hints of liquorice in the background, elegant style despite its power, fine peppery and juniper tones, mineral notes, very good, firm, tart, juicy and finely spicy finish." Wein-plus
"A beguiling blend of black raspberries, peppery herbs, cedar and exotic spices makes the 2018 Rosso Faye impossible to ignore. It's soft and supple, with bracing acidity that gives an energised feel, even as masses of ripe red and blue fruit flood the palate with youthful concentration. Sweet tannins frame the finish, which tapers off surprisingly juicy and fresh with a saline note and a lingering hint of lavender. This expressive vintage of Rosso Faye may not be as long-lived as the great vintages, but it will offer a broad and open drinking window." Vinous
"A vivid red, bright on the palate and with good concentration to the flavors of ripe black and red currant fruit, with fragrant notes of oolong tea, bay leaf and sassafras. Shows taut tannins enmeshed in the detailed flavor profile, while a zesty streak of milled pepper drives the finish." Wine Spectator
"A classic from the promising Faedo winery. Cru Paradisot, 50 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon, with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Lagrein. Small black fruits on the nose, blueberry and blackberry, a hint of thyme and nutmeg, balsamic finish. Dense mouthfeel, iodised tannins, lingering finish." Luca Gardini

In 1975, at the age of twenty-four, Fiorentino Sandri inherited two hectares of vineyards. At the same time, the 21-year-old Mario Pojer was just finishing his oenology studies in St. Michael on the Adige. Their shared passion for good wine encouraged the two friends to invest their savings in a common dream for the future: To produce unique wines that inspire the consumer and leave formative memories. The very first wine, the Müller-Thurgau Palai, immediately set the success story of the Pojer e Sandri winery in motion.
In the beautiful landscape of the Cembra Valley, covered with vineyards, Mario and Fiorentino put their passion into practice and to this day they continue to promote the valorisation and preservation of this unique territory. The Pojer e Sandri winery is located in the town of Faedo in Trentino. From the initial two hectares, a total of 35 hectares of vineyards have been created, all of which are cultivated at an altitude of at least 450 metres.
The locations around San Michele and Faedo are dominated by calcareous soils, while working on the steep terraces of the volcanic Cembra Valley is a challenge. Both areas benefit from the environmentally friendly climate control provided by Ora, a southerly wind on Lake Garda that keeps the grapes dry and thus reduces their susceptibility to disease. The wines from the Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Nero and the autochthonous Nosiola grape varieties are part of a diverse portfolio that impressively reflects the quality standards of the two friends.
From the seedling to the wine glass: the entire production process is based above all on ecological and economic sustainability. This commitment drives the innovative spirit of the winery, and technical problems become challenges here. When the residues on the grape skins caused difficulties in fermentation, Pojer e Sandri developed a kind of "washing machine" for grapes, which removes impurities on the skins while strengthening the autochthonous yeasts. Just an idea that made Mario and Fiorentino famous for consistently putting new approaches into practice.
Years of research and experimentation finally led them to an extraordinary project in which the grapes of the fungus-resistant Solaris grape variety are transformed into wine without any additives: no treatment in the vineyard, no use of sulphur dioxide, no commercial yeasts, no clarifiers, no filtration and no antioxidants! The grapes used to make this sparkling wine according to the Méthode Ancestrale with yeast lees come from the Maso Rella vineyard, which is situated at an altitude of 800 to 900 metres above sea level and faces south-west. This exceptional sparkling wine is called "Zero Infinito", which stands for zero chemical intervention and infinity ...
The enthusiasm of the two friends is still the same after 45 years of work. And this enthusiasm has even increased, because today the second generation has also joined the company. And so today, friendship, passion and innovation are still the guiding principles of the winery, which can be found in all the wines of Pojer e Sandri. Fortunately for us, it must be stressed, the continuation of this precious heritage is therefore assured. SUPERIORE.DE
