Guado al Tasso 2022 opens with multi-layered aromas, including camphor, pipe tobacco, oak spice and ripe black-skinned fruit. With structure and finesse, it offers ripe black plum, juicy cherry, liquorice and menthol on the palate, framed by ultra-fine tannins and fresh acidity. "The Guado al Tasso 2022 shows notes of plums, espresso, nutmeg, liquorice, incense, lavender and dried herbs. Medium-bodied, with fine persistence and plenty of class, the Guado al Tasso has a lot to offer. A burst of dark fruit, exotic spices and sweet savouriness underlines the final. This is a great wine for this year. The blend consists of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot." Vinous

"The 2022 Bolgheri Superiore Guado al Tasso is an unexpected wine. I was prepared for a more overt ripeness, but instead I was greeted by a gorgeous mineral note of graphite or pencil that adds much needed contour to this full-bodied Tuscan red. The wine is velvety and richly textured at its core, but it is also seamless with a very pleasant sweetness. The new oak gives it a hint of vanilla and spice.
