Tenuta Le Colonne

The vineyards are 15 metres above sea level on a westerly exposure on river sediment soils with a sandy texture. The coastal sun shines through in the straw-yellow nuances of this wine. On the fresh bouquet, notes of lemon, freshly cut green apples, along with hints of mint and sage; these Mediterranean impressions are also found on the palate. Dark red in colour with bright violet reflections. The nose is pleasant and beautifully articulated with sensations of red and black fruits, including blackcurrants and ripe cherries. After further aeration, flavours of flowers and black pepper follow. Soft, well-integrated tannins on the palate, followed by an energetic and viral finish with red fruits in the aftertaste. Tenuta le Colonne Bolgheri Superiore comes from a beautiful vineyard just a stone's throw from the pine-lined coast. Intense, impenetrable ruby red.
