Borrigiano is an enchanting cuvée that brings an ideal balance of fine and harmonised use of wood and fresh, lively fruit to the glass. An interesting berry flavour and some plum confit on the nose. For us, Borrigiano is an ideal companion for convivial evenings and mild pasta dishes or risottos - it shows the great potential of this up-and-coming winery in an endearing (and affordable) way. The name TRE stands for its three grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as for its three Tuscan vineyards Maremma, Castellina and Radda in Chianti. Roxanne Rosso is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Ciliegiolo. To preserve the fruit nuances, the wine is aged in stainless steel and only 20% of the Sangiovese is aged in barrel. It shows a deep ruby colour and intense and fruity notes of ripe red fruits and sweet spices. It has a harmonious structure and well-polished tannins with a long finish. The owner of Selvapiana, Francesco Giuntini, and the owner of the Petrognano winery, Cecilia Galeotti Ottieri, have been friends for a long time. Their small winery on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna is located in the centre of the Pomino DOC, which was first mentioned in a document in 1716 and is one of the first four protected appellations in Tuscany (alongside Rufina Classico, Carmignano and Valdarno Superiore).

The two have been working together on the "Villa Petrognano" project for several years - under this name, a clear, very well-structured white wine is produced under the aegis of Selvapiana. Delicious notes of white peach, apple and rose on the nose, followed by honey and traces of star jasmine. Laura Bianchi's Monsanto Rosso is a 100% Sangiovese and comes from the vineyards in the south-western part of the estate, where Galestro (friable marl) combines with a marked concentration of tufa, a volcanic seabed that releases fossils from the Cretaceous period over time. These soils, which are particularly rich in phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and limestone, give the wine greater complexity and a more characteristic flavour, beautifully articulated fruit and wonderful freshness. Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara is not only clearly ahead of the game with the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the family winery also proves this with its Rosato Cremisi. The Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc grapes for this very drinkable, juicy Rosso come from sites in Montefili and Panzano. The grapes are vinified separately: the Cabernet Franc in small Litersbarrels (tonneaux), the Sangiovese in larger 2,000-litre wooden barrels. Montefili Rosso is a very harmonious red with character, finesse-rich and fresh on the palate, with a beautiful melt and respectable depth. SUPERIORE.DE

The name Duelame is derived from "lama": in geological terms, the word refers to a kind of blade, i.e. a notch in which the village of Lamole lies in the middle of two high plateaus. The Duelame bottling thus combines fruit from the lowest (420 metres) and highest (655 metres) vineyards on the estate. Fine aromas of cherry and blueberry on the nose and palate, together with a pleasant spicy note and silky tannins, create the perfect and delicate picture of a cool and authentic Chianti Classico of traditional style.
