Valletta is a blend of Sangiovese from the Gagliole vineyards in Castellina and Merlot from the Panzano vineyards. The wine is fermented in stainless steel (each variety is processed separately) and then aged in oak, some of which is new. Supple and racy, it offers enormous appeal from the very first sip. Balisca is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the winery's vineyards in Panzano. It is deep, rich and very layered, exuding tremendous purity from start to finish. The notes of the grape variety are very finely sketched in a smooth, very expressive wine with lots of personality and character.
