Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM in OWC
Lisini's vineyards are located between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate on the inner edge of the Sesta area and are cleansed by the constant breeze from the Tuscan coast. The stony soils with a significant proportion of limestone and the altitude of over 300 metres help to maintain the freshness of the wines. The 2018 is wonderfully fragrant, almost exotic. Plump red fruits and sweet summer herbs fill the mouth, but instead of being heavy, it is balanced and transparent. The powdery tannins are fine and lead to a long, maritime finish. SUPERIORE.DE

Lisini Winery has been active in viticulture for generations. Signora Elina Lisini and her son Lorenzo Lisini brought their many years of experience to the – who has long since assumed responsibility for the business – and led to the worldwide fame of the traditional good. The Santorini farm is dedicated to agriculture.'Angelo in Colle, 154 hectares of vineyards since the 16th century. The cultivation of grapes began nine years before the outbreak of the Second World War, and the production of top-quality products only began in the 1960s.
The approximately 18 hectares of vineyards at altitudes of up to 350 meters are very promising. They are located in Sesta, south of Montalcino, in a privileged position and are mainly destined for Brunello. For Rosso and Sant'Antimo products were selected only a few plots. Late harvesting, strict selection, the selection of only fully ripe grapes and low yields - these are some of the most important characteristics of the family philosophy.
Some of the vines of the Lisini winery are very old. A parcel that was spared from the phylloxera plague a hundred years ago and is currently undergoing a rejuvenation treatment by selecting the best vines from the old stock and multiplying them on a massive scale is virtually unique. The loose and deep soils of the vineyards are rich in skeletal parts. A deep clay layer is responsible for ensuring that the roots of the vines receive sufficient fluid. Due to the good drainage, the plants are of great concentration and impressive elegance.
The winery's cellar now has a temperature control system. The mostly larger barrels intended for the ageing of the wines are not only used carefully, but are also replaced more frequently than in the past. Lisini owes the breakthrough to the top, even to the absolute top, to the consulting star oenologist Dr. Franco Bernabei, who occupies an exceptional position in Tuscany. It is therefore no surprise that the "Brunello di Montalcino Ugolaia" from the wine guide Gambero Grosso very often with "Three glasses" has been awarded. SUPERIORE.DE
"Lisini is a first class traditional estate, as the long vertical proves, a confirmation also for the extreme longevity of the wines with very precise style and high recognition value."Gambero Rosso
