The first Caggiole was launched on the market in 1988 and disappeared again in 1995 because the flagship Asinone simply met consumer tastes better at the time. Today - after an absence of over 20 years - the Nobile Le Caggiole is back on the market as the estate's new first wine. Estate owner Dott. Federico Carletti has dedicated this masterpiece to his wife Anna - setting a new benchmark for Poliziano and the entire denomination. We are delighted to be able to present this strictly limited top wine!

Brilliant, elegant ruby red colour with a delicately brightening rim. Salty, mineral and refined. Le Caggiole represents the terroir and the Sangiovese grape variety (Prugnolo Gentile) like no other wine from the estate. It is almost light-footed, svelte, delicate and at the same time very fine. It is the result of many years of work selecting the right Sangiovese clones in the single vineyard of the same name, Le Caggiole, which consists of 4 parcels. SUPERIORE.DE

"Perfumed from start to finish, the 2020 Nobile di Montepulciano Le Caggiole wafts up with a pretty blend of dried roses and wild strawberries complemented by hints of orange zest. Soft and round, this impresses with its lifting acidity and mineral tones as subtle nuances of cherry and blackberry swirl throughout.
