The name TRE stands for its three grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as for its three Tuscan vineyards Maremma, Castellina and Radda in Chianti. Bright yellow organic Vermentino with a small proportion of Grechetto. The idea came from Maurizio Castelli, who also advises the Barberani winery in Umbria. Maurizio Castelli creates this marvellous white wine from the Tuscan coast from a traditional, local blend based on a historical model and always picks the grapes quite late. The nose has a bright aroma of apple, pear, flint and a certain exoticism. Roxanne Rosso is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Ciliegiolo. To preserve the fruit nuances, the wine is aged in stainless steel and only 20% of the Sangiovese is aged in barrel. It shows a deep ruby colour and intense and fruity notes of ripe red fruits and sweet spices. It has a harmonious structure and well-polished tannins with a long finish. Rosso Non Confunditur from Argiano is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. The wine opens with a dark ruby red colour and aromas of wild berries, flowers and red berries. On the palate, it fortunately does not show the cloying heaviness or dense extraction found in many other protagonists of the Super Tuscan category. Laura Bianchi's Monsanto Rosso is a 100% Sangiovese and comes from the vineyards in the south-western part of the estate, where Galestro (friable marl) combines with a marked concentration of tufa, a volcanic seabed that releases fossils from the Cretaceous period over time. These soils, which are particularly rich in phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and limestone, give the wine greater complexity and a more characteristic flavour, beautifully articulated fruit and wonderful freshness. Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara is not only clearly ahead of the game with the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the family winery also proves this with its Rosato Cremisi.
