The small but fine winery Riondo is located in Monteforte d'Alpone in the province of Verona. Previously only known to locals, Riondo unexpectedly achieved world fame when the American wine critic Robert ParkerJr. gave this Prosecco 90 points in his Wine Advocate No. 141 in June 2002 and praised him for everything. Since then, the whole world has wanted to try and buy the highly praised Prosecco. But in Monteforte one remains calm: On the one hand, one has always known that one makes the best Prosecco of Italy; on the other hand, one would continue to sell only those fine wines that one likes.
