Alongside dal Forno's Valpolicella, this is probably the only wine from this appellation that redefines the character of this famous Veronese red wine in a stunning way and justifiably sets a benchmark that is unattainable for most winemakers in the region. Deep, dark ruby red in colour with scattered garnet-red reflections. A cornucopia of small red berries on the nose, plus sweet cherry, cedar wood and smoke. Firm, complex and multi-layered on the palate with an elegance that forms a masterful symbiosis with the impressive body. This is a juicy and vibrant interpretation of Quintarelli Valpolicella, with a wave of mineral-tinged wild berry fruit that washes across the palate, guided by stimulating acidity. It tapers off on a note of refinement, still quite mineral and classically dry, with a coating of fine tannins that add a pleasantly crunchy sensation.
